[love that song....Pocketful of Sunshine being the song...]
There was a slight breeze to the air as Nat'lie sat by the pond. Sitting upon a wooden dock her feet swayed back and forth in the cool water as she read a book. The book was quite interesting really. Very old and written by a former Abbess of Redwall who went by the name of Geminya. The text engraved upon the book indicated the title to be Geminya Tome. The Fieldmouse was actually quite fascinated by the book and found the riddles with in mind-bending but still managable. So far she had figured out a couple riddles which laid within, each one finding her a new treasure which she placed somewhere in the Abbey so it could be appreciated by all Redwallers. Her findings included various items such as daggers belonging to past heros and secret recipes for vittles{some of which she kept and added to her own personal cookbook. Nat'lie had also located a small bracelet that had the word Redwall engraved on it and she wore it upon her wrist.
Ever so gently the mouse folded over the corner of the page to bookmark it for later. Sitting it down upon the grass she rolled over on her stomach now laying down. Leaning forward she picked a couple pretty flowers she made a small crown out of them which she gave to a passing Dibbun. Reaching to far outwards the little Fieldmouse tumbled into the pond. Coming back up from the water she could very well sit in the place she was currently in. It was very shallow but extremely cold. Giving a shiver she allowed herself to sit there watching the water whirl the ends of her dress in different directions. After a moment she pulled herself out of the pond frowning at the now wet dress which was plastered to her body.

((I dun like that song to be honest ><; ) Wynn was taking a leasurly((spelling..?)) stroll around the Abbey that day, nothing else for him to do. He yawned and stretched his arms in the cool breeze, finding that taking a day off from the Council could be a good change for once. He walked around the corner of the Abbey , and turned to the pond. He sometimes liked to let his footpaws cool off in the nice spring water. But to his disappointment, there was a mouse already with her own footpaws in the water sitting on the dock. He walked over to her, but stopped and laughed as she fell in. He walked up to the mousemaid, whom he could tell was Nat'lie. Being the height of a Badger Lor'd shoulder, he stood quite a bit taller than she did and it was quite noticable when he stood up next to her. "Is everything going alright, Nat'lie?" He asked, a smile on his face. ((Sowwy if it sucks, but I'm like... post dead right now...))

Nat'lie heard the slightest bit of laughing when she fell into so now she glanced around to see who it had been. Wynn. Disapproving of his laugh she started brushing off droplets of water and attempting to get rid of as much water as possible. He was the Champion of Redwall and all but he didn't have the right to make fun of other creatures. Turning away she dried herself off with a small piece of fabric and picked up the book intending on walking away before the fox caught up with her.
Too late, Wynn was already standing in front of her. "Just great." she said, almost adding a tone of sarcasm to her voice. "You know it could be better if I hadn't fallen in the pond than had some fox laugh at me." The little Fieldmouse said lightly not wanting to cause him annoyance even though he had certainly annoyed herself. "I've solved some of Sister Geminya's riddles and found a couple of treasures to add on to the good side of things." she added showing the fox the nifty little bracelet that hung upon her wrist. Wynn smiled, shaking his head and crossing his arms to her minor insults to him. "Now, now. If you hadn't have fallen in the pond, then I wouldn't be here. And if I wasn't here then..." He stopped talkin then, starting to scratch his head as he thought of what to say. He gave a half-frown, and brushed his hand as if brushing invisible dust off of a tabletop. "Okay, forget I was talkin. Anyway, you figured out some of the riddles? You know, some of the great librarians and warriors of Redwall Abbey looked through the very same book, and it took them ages to figure them out." He smiled and patted her on the shoulder. He blinked though, as a bracelet was basically shoved into his face. "It looks pretty..." He sniffed it then, and wrinkled his nose. "Don't smell pretty..." He shrugged, folding his paws behind his back.

Nat'lie frowned slightly as he attempted to make a point but failed. Shaking her head ever so slightly without allowing him to notice. "Pretty interesting riddles really but simple once you get the hang of it. Most words are just anagrams and some of the words used in different poems mean the same thing." she commented, tracing her fingers over the text in a light manner. "Yes, I've washed it several times and the smell has only improved the slightest bit. What about you? What have you been up to these previous days?" [/blockquote]

The fox perked his ears and gave a goofy smile. "Simple, eh? Well then," He grabbed his belt by the sides of his vest and pulled it up his body. "I'll be the judge of that!" He winked and chuckled, folding his hands behind his back. "Just try me!" He chuckled some more and nodded a little. "You could probably remove the smell by dipping a rag in some strawberry cordial, then drying it, then wipe the rag on it. Then you'll have it scented as a good ol' drink!" When the subject turned to him, his eyes widened and his ears flattened to his head. M-me?!" He stuttered. "Well, you know! Champion stuff!" He looked around to see if there was a beast that could get his attention and he could be a "Good Abbeydweller" and go and "Help Them". He pouted, crossed his arms over his chest and stuck his muzzle in the air. "If you must now, mousy, I was cleaning out the cellars. They asked for help and I just happened to be the only one left when every other beast disappeared!" He lowered his head and shook it, closing his eyes, then he clucked his tongue. "Rather shameful of them, really." He opened an eye, hoping to see Nat'lie believing his words.

Nat'lie pushed him playfully just for the simple fact she didn't want to embarass herself by pushing her hardest and him not budging a bit. "Clever idea. I can figure out riddles from an ancient book but I can't figure out how to get rid of a simple stench." she spoke, partly making fun of her own self and how stupid she could be when it came to the simplist things. The little mousemaid stiffled a giggle as he pouted, accidentally giggling aloud for a moment. Biting down on her tongue she stopped. "Well you better stop calling me mousy or I'll make you do more than that. You'll be scrubbing the floors until your paws fall off!" [/blockquote]

Wynn gasped and looked to his own paws. "They'll fall off?!" He tucked them under his arms securley and hugged them closely. "Well then, I'll just have to stop calling you mousy then, won't I? So, your new name'll be..." He spund in circles, and deep look of thought on his face. Stopping in the spot, and smiled to her and announced his new name: "Smarty-Mouse!" He clapped and rubbed his paws together. "It's perfect!"

An otter watched from the roof of the abbey. He stared into the windows at the creatures down below, feeling sorrow well up inside him.
